The Smoking Syndicate Roundtable No. 1 Audio: Saint Luis Rey Carenas Toro
Thursday Sep 30, 2021
Thursday Sep 30, 2021
Welcome to our first ever Roundtable for The Smoking Syndicate. The Roundtable will be a new format where we will be doing a live group review of a particular cigar and will also have a shortened video posted later on our YouTube account. The Roundtable could feature any one of us along with guests, so tuned for more great Roundtable segments in the future. Will, Bear, Erron, and I got together to review the Saint Luis Rey Carenas in the toro vitola. The SLR Carenas is a cigar we've all been smoking lately so we thought it would be a good cigar for our first Roundtable. This is our first ever Roundtable so I didn't edit it much as we felt like it had a lot of great content. In the future, the aftershow videos will just feature the segments on the cigar we are reviewing. If you have any suggestions on cigars you would like for us to review in the future, please put some suggestions in the comments.

Friday Sep 24, 2021
Friday Sep 24, 2021
In this interview from our archives, we interview Nestor Andrés Plasencia at the 2017 IPCPR Trade Show.
If there was “the story” at the 2017 IPCPR Trade Show, it was the launch of Plasencia Cigars. The Plasencias have over 150 years experience in the cigar business and truly are one of the iconic families in the industry’s history. Now, after many years being growers and producers in the cigar business, the Plasencias last year have launched their own brand. It’s not just a brand with their name on it. To bring this product to market, the Plasencias now have their own U.S. distribution company, Plasencia 1865, LLC. The 2017 IPCPR would prove to be a very special trade show as the Plasencias would be exhibitors for the first time showcasing their new products.
Note: This an audio only interview.
