PCA 2021: Crux Cigars (Audio)

From the 2021 PCA Trade Show, we talk to Casey Haugen of Crux Cigars.

The 2021 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show was the second PCA Trade Show since the brand underwent a massive rebranding effort in 2019. This Trade Show didn’t see Crux introduce a new line, but it was an opportunity to showcase the rebranding for its Crux de Connoisseur line. There also were a series of line extensions, including a couple of PCA exclusive cigars. This was a booth that had also had a quite a bit of activity. We visited the booth three times and each time there was plenty of activity.

The 2021 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show was the eighth for Omar de Frias and Fratello Cigars. Fratello Cigars has been a staple of the Trade Show ever since the company’s first show in 2013. Each year Omar brings a lot of energy and enthusiasm to his presentation – and the 2021 Trade Show was no exception This year saw Fratello Cigars bring a series of line extensions, a new sweet tipped cigar, and even some IPA offerings.

PCA 2021: Quesada Cigars (Audio)

From the 2021 PCA Trade Show, we talk to Raquel Quesada of Quesada Cigars.

The last half of 2021 is promising to be an exciting one for the Quesada family. The company had several offerings to showcase at this year’s trade show. This included a new core offering under the Casa Magna brand, a line extension to the Quesada 1974 line, and the return of the annual Quesada Oktoberfest. While things had been quieter from Quesada over the past year, these new offerings engaged just about everyone who visited the booth.

The themes of the new releases would see Cavalier Genève start to work with some new tobaccos, and also explore a more contemporary look to its packaging for one of those new core lines.

From the 2021 PCA Trade Show, we talk to Jeffrey Amendola and Chris Monaco of Amendola Family Cigar Company.

The 2021 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show was the first for Amendola Family Cigar Company. Over the past couple of years, the company has really worked to take things to the next level. Most importantly, Amendola has secured some high quality factories to handle its production - most notably the TABSA factory for its core line and the La Zona/San Lotano factories for its limiteds. For this show, Amendola was a part of the Illusione booth and in a way it was a great opportunity to introduce many retailers to its portfolio.
