PCA 2021: Amendola Family Cigar Company (Audio)
Friday Aug 13, 2021
Friday Aug 13, 2021
From the 2021 PCA Trade Show, we talk to Jeffrey Amendola and Chris Monaco of Amendola Family Cigar Company.
The 2021 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show was the first for Amendola Family Cigar Company. Over the past couple of years, the company has really worked to take things to the next level. Most importantly, Amendola has secured some high quality factories to handle its production - most notably the TABSA factory for its core line and the La Zona/San Lotano factories for its limiteds. For this show, Amendola was a part of the Illusione booth and in a way it was a great opportunity to introduce many retailers to its portfolio.

PCA 2021: Toscano (Audio)

Thursday Aug 12, 2021
From the 2021 PCA Trade Show, we talk to Michael Cappellini of Toscano Cigars.
After the past few years as a part of the Miami Cigar & Company booth, the 2021 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show saw Toscano Cigars with its own booth. Toscano Cigars are different than just about every premium handmade cigar at the Trade Show in that they are fire-cured cigars that are produced in Italy. Given the very different nature of the Toscano product, it was great to see Toscano focus on education about the products and I believe the presentation of the products was well done. These products include a special limited edition release called the Toscano Nobile it was showcasing at the Trade Show.

PCA 2021: Protocol Cigars (Audio)

Wednesday Aug 11, 2021
From the 2021 PCA Trade Show, we talk to Juan Cancel and Kevin Keithan of Protocol Cigars.
For Protocol Cigars, 2021 marked the sixth IPCPR/PCA Trade Show. It also marked the first trade show since Kevin Keithan became a managing partner for the company. When Protocol Cigars first launched their company, they had a small kiosk at the Espinosa Cigars’ booth hoping to sell some of their Protocol Blue line. Fast-forward to 2021, and Protocol Cigars now has a portfolio of 11 core blends and has released over a dozen limited editions. They won’t make a claim to be the largest company, but they have built a portfolio of offerings to appeal to a lot of cigar enthusiasts. The company is still part of the Espinosa Cigars booth, and while they had several new releases to showcase, they’ve also gotten nostalgic with a new size to the Protocol Blue.

PCA 2021: Platinum Nova (Audio)

Wednesday Aug 11, 2021
From the 2021 PCA Trade Show, we talk to Leanor Abzaradel of Platinum Nova.
One of the booths our team was particularly excited to visit at the 2021 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show was Platinum Nova. Based in Delray Beach, Florida, Platinum Nova is not new to the cigar scene, but in the past couple of years has been making some noise in the cigar industry. Platinum Nova is a company that produces its cigars out of its own factory in the Dominican Republic, but 2021 would be an exciting year as the company would introduce its first two Nicaraguan offerings. One of those Nicaraguan offerings would be a cigar that would be part of the PCA Exclusive Series.

From the 2021 PCA Trade Show, we talk to Terence Reilly of Aganorsa Leaf.
The 2021 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show was the third one since Casa Fernandez Cigars rebranded the company as Aganorsa Leaf. While this year's trade show didn't have as many launches as in the previous two years under the Aganorsa Leaf name, you wouldn't know it by the busy activity taking place in the booth. This year saw Aganorsa Leaf release some line extensions among two of its more popular limited offerings in its portfolio, including one cigar that would be a part of the PCA Exclusive Series.
