For Episode 34, we welcome Ram Rodriguez of Tabacalera El Artista. While known for making a cigar for baseball great David “Big Papi” Ortiz, El Artista is a family-owned company with a long history and tonight we will learn more about the company’s story.
We will also talk a little David Ortiz and Red Sox in our Debonaire Ideal segment. Finally, in our Deliberation Segment we will go through some questions around activities found at some cigar retailers.

The Plasencia family is well known as one of the premier families in the cigar industry. On this episode we were joined by company CEO Nestor Andrés Plasencia from Estelí, Nicaragua. As Nestor told us, this was his first podcast and we were honored to have the opportunity to do this.
We will learn the story of how the Plasencias became a pioneer family in tobacco-growing and cigar production. Chances are just about every cigar enthusiast has smoked a cigar that has been made with Plasencia tobacco or made at a Plasencia factory. Now the Plasencias have their very own brand, Plasencia 1865 and we will learn about that as well.
We also have some more discussion around the Cigar of the Year season and discuss the recent IPCPR survey on Thanksgiving weekend.

For Episode 32, we welcome the man behind Serino Cigar Company, Carson Serino. Carson is a passionate cigar enthusiast as well as Vice President of Serino Cigar Company. He recently has released his own blend called “The Wayfarer” and we will talk about that and everything SErino tonight.
Being a “Wayfarer”, Carson is a person who likes to travel and we will catch up with some of his travels on the Debonaire Ideal segment.
Finally, Aaron has a follow-up to his “When a 90 is Not a 90” article that we discuss in our Deliberation segment.
